Happy Fall!

It is official….summer is over…..but will the heat go too?  The rainy weather and ac running made it seem like it was fall.  Carter and I got in the attic and got down the fall decorations.  There are pumpkins and fall leaves everywhere. It has been a great day!  Carter kept singing about how he loves fall and I started thinking about how much I really love fall too.  It is not just the crisp cool air, because we do not get much of that here, but it is the memories of events that happened in the fall.  October 27th will mark year number seven that I have been married to my wonderful husband….  man time flies when you are having fun!  It just does not seem like it has been that long.  I would marry him all over again in a heart beat!  I wish we could do it all over again!

And then October 16th……will be my precious Carter’s 5th birthday!  The day he was born was the most amazing day….the love I have for him….I love him so much that I was afraid to have more kids….but Colin is just as great.  But with Carter, it was just about him…we had so many quite moments together.  I remember so clearly, the first night home from the hospital and after our first middle of the night encounter of feeding, burping and changing I was just holding him in my arms watching his eyes twinkle with wonder as he watched the little stars and moons float across the ceiling and I thought to myself, I don’t ever want you to grow up…I don’t ever want to put you down….thank you God for this gift.   Goodness me, how quickly time goes!  Getting out our fall decorations makes me go back to those most precious moments in my life.  I can smell the cake and goodies my mom made as a sat and rocked Carter and I can feel JJ’s hand wipe the tears from my eyes as we left our wedding reception.  I love fall and am truly grateful for the gifts the Lord has blessed me with this time of year.

I hope this fall is full of good times and good memories for you too.

Hello One Click Away Friends!

The summer was full of “new” for us!

Not only did we welcome a new addition to our family, we got new equipment, new backdrops, a new print company, new products, new education, new ideas and now our new site and blog!

Just before Colin was born, I read an article in a photography magazine where the photographer said “I don’t want to be the world’s greatest photographer, I just want to be better then I was the day before”.  And I thought to myself….that is me….that is what I want!  I want to be a better photographer, I want to improve daily!  I want to always be learning new things and offering new ideas and items to my clients.  So,  JJ and I have been in been working hard, researching and going to monthly meetings where we are being taught by some of the best photographers in Texas.

So, please check out our new site and let us know what you think!  And make sure to stop by the blog often to get more information about monthly specials and for a chance to get some free stuff!

Coming Up in October….NEW Christmas cards!  This year will be the best we have ever offered! We will be offering some One Click Away originals and we have purchased some amazing templates at These Christmas Card Templates and through the links on that page. If I new how to make a link to the page I would…but I have not learned that yet!  This is all new to me!

Thank you for being our models, so we could finally go take pictures at some of the downtown locations that we have been wanting use for such a long time!

There are still some spots I want to use…like the one off of Commerce with the different colored garage doors.  If only it would not have been soooo hot and buggy! Maybe we can hit those other spots when we do the family session! I can’t wait!
