Robert and Sonya are sweet and wonderful couple!

JJ and I had a blast doing their wedding  in Corpus!  It was beautiful!

I was amazed at the  locations for the ceremony and the reception.  WOW.

The weather was cleared up just for the ceremony…we seem to have bad luck with the weather!

Everything was great and fun!

I have so much to say……

Bob and Annmarie are two of the sweetest people I now know.  I love that  you can see how in love they are just by the way they look at each other.  I love how sweet and delicate Bob treats Annmarie.  And I love how fun and laid back they are!

JJ and I had such a blast in San Antonio shooting pictures on their special day.  It was totally worth the trip.

We loved their family and friends…everyone was so great!

Even though the weather was not the greatest…it turned out to be such a beautiful and fun day.

You are the sweetest and most adorable couple!  We wish you both lifetime of happiness!

We hope that we can get together with you guys one day soon, not about pictures..but just to hang out!

Also, we hope you had a blast in Hawaii…sorry I did not post pictures on the blog sooner…there are just too many good ones…it has been hard to choose.  I will upload more…but here is some to start.  Your videos will be up this week.

PS  We are going to try to take a weekend and come to my house in Harlingen in April or May.  We would love to plan it so we can have an evening with you and JJ.  Maybe we can all have dinner or go to South Padre or just eat pizza and play games.  Bob and I are just do impressed by how you two handled the group for the photos and took charge to get the job done.  Thank you so much for coming all the way to San Antonio!!

JJ and I had fun as usual with the Hollon boys.  Fisher and Hagan both are getting so big and SO CUTE!

6pm might have been too late to take Hagan’s pictures, but we still got some good shots!

Fisher has so much energy…I wish I could find a way to bottle it up.

I love these kids!

I have been taking pictures of Kennedy for a few years now and I am just in awe of how much she has grown and how she coming out of her shell.  She used to be so shy,well at least of the camera.

The shoot did not go a smoothly as hoped.  The girls where ready way before the boys where and by the time the boys got kind of settled the girls had enough.  We decided we will just have to make a collage this time to have them all together.

Karsen is usually a very smiley and happy boy, but started crying as soon as he got out of the car and only stopped for a few brief moments despite my best efforts.  It is hard getting new teeth.  Poor guy.

Despite all the tears…we managed to get some great pictures of each child individually and some of just Jeremy and Holly and then Holly with Kennedy.

I just had to post the a couple bloopers from the session…I just don’t think the kids liked the beautiful matching outfits…LOL!  I almost posted a picture of Holly licking Jeremy’s face, but resisted.   I love kid sessions…they keep me skinny!

John B’s Senior Shoot

Just a little sneak peek of John’s Senior 2009 Shoot. We had a great time with John. He was very receptive of all our posing suggestions and we even had a little Starbucks afterward. Stay tuned for the video.

Just to tease

JJ and I had a great time with Sonya on her bridal shoot. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us again even though we pushed the shoot up a day early to beat the cold front. It got dark much faster then it should have with all the clouds.  We also started about 30 minutes later then planned.  Who would have known it would take me 45 minutes to lace up her dress?  Yikes.

Well, the weather has to be great  for the wedding since both the engagement  and the bridal shoot have been dark and on the verge of rain.

We are excited for the big day next month!  And JJ and I have enjoyed the car rides together to Brownsville…it has been great getting to know you both!

Sorry it took so long to do the drawing.  We were going to do it last night when Ms. Edna, our babysitter was here and take pictures, but we forgot.  And we did not want to take pictures tonight since we are in our p.j.’s.  We could not do it earlier because we had sick kids to take care of.  So, here it is….with out the photos….but a least it is done.

Thank you all so much for all your support.  We will be updating the site by the end of the week  with all the suggestions,the problems we knew needed to be fixed and we will be adding the galleries.

Pumpkin Patch

I am now taking appointments for pumpkin patch pictures at the Methodist Church for Monday the 13th from 5-7pm and Tuesday the 14th at 10-11:30am and 4-7pm.  Appointments only and the sessions will be 15-30minutes long.  Email me if you want more information or to schedule a time:lindseyvav@sbcglobal.net.

J.J. and I had so much fun at your wedding!  You have an amazing family and you are all so sweet.  Your kids are precious!  And you are such a cute couple!!!!  And from what I watch  you are very good and loving parents!

Hocott Girls

I just wanted to thank you again for taking pictures of the girls today/night.  They really enjoyed being around you and JJ.  We also enjoyed Lee and Linda helping out.  As we turned to get on the expressway to Raymondville, Olivia threw a little fit because she wanted to go to your house and play w/ Ms. Lindsey and Mr. JJ.  When we got to Raymondville the girls showed Dane and his parents all the poses they did for the pictures.  It was too cute.  Have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you soon.

Yes, we are working.

My husband has been begging me to post entry on the blog for weeks now.  We have just been so busy and I have not made it a priority.  I have been swamped with orders, getting pictures on the web and sick family members.

We are pretty much booked for the rest of the year minus a few Studio Day Special slots.  We will start taking Graduate pictures in December, but not until all my Christmas orders in and complete.

The Christmas cards are going to be awesome this year!  We just got more template options.

Since Carter’s school fundraiser/festivial has been cancled on Saturday, we are going to spend the afternoon working on our site and getting all the card options up.

We will be adding a shopping area to our site with lots of goodies.  I can’t wait until we get it done.  JJ and I have so many ideas and dreams, we just don’t seem to have the time to get them finished.   I hope we finish before someone else does what we are wanting and it looks like we are copying them.  That seems to be the pattern. I think of a good idea and the next thing I know, someone else is doing it.  Someone must be stealing my thoughts…haha.

We just took pictures last night for a clothing line called Heavenly Wear.  We are excited that we will be doing pictures for the website, that will be up and running soon.  We love the owner Kimberly Brown along with her designs.  The quality of the clothes are excellent!  I hope to make some Christmas cards and birth announcements using her art work….. we will see.  I cannot wait for the next shoot…..my head is swirling with ideas….this shoot was so rushed…..I am ready for the next one!

Well, I better get to work on the shoots that need to be put up.

Tomorrow, I will be calling about renting some studio space.  My house is too small.

Both Audrey and Lexi had such a wonderful experience with the two of you.  Thank you for making them feel so comfortable.  As you two took the girls to the other end of the pond, and I sat down on the bench and waited, I thanked God for bringing the two of you into our lives for this time.  I am grateful…

Christmas is almost here!

I cannot believe how many people have already put up their lights….or maybe they have had them up since last year, but they are just now flipping the switch on.

JJ and I are not ready for Christmas to be here!  I want to freeze time for a while!  Colin and Carter are just growing too fast.  Colin will be 7 months at Christmas.  He will most likely be crawling.  He decided to sit up all alone yesterday when we were taking his picture with our new awesome red backdrop.  Now, he is a pro at sitting up.  He is always so happy and sweet!  We have to drop his crib down to the next level this weekend….he is getting up on all fours and rocking…..I’m not ready!!!!  Colin is also now eating baby rice cereal, oatmeal and now peas.  He loves to chew on the spoon.

Robert and Sonya’s Engagement Session

Hey everyone,

We just put up Robert and Sonya’s Engagement Session.  They are an awesome couple who asked us to shoot their wedding!!  Last Friday we took them over to UTB campus and just had a blast.  We even made sure that random people came by to give us cookies during the shoot.  Not really, but it did happen.  We can’t wait for the wedding in Corpus!!

Hello fans,friends,family and guest!

We are so sorry  that it is taking so long for us to finish our new site.  But, we promise that it is going to be worth the wait!
J.J. and I have been so busy taking pictures( and loving every minute of it!) that we have not had time to finish things up on the site or even post new blogs.  Senior 09 kept us busier then we ever imagined.  Plus, we have done  a couple weddings and many other jobs that are private links.
Our two boys have also been keeping us very busy lately.   Carter is now a preschool graduate. After his next 12 years of school plans to go to Texas A&M and major in Marine Science.  He wants to be a wale trainer at Sea World.  I think he may change his mind once he grows up and finds out how little they make.  But, I do know he will follow his Papa’s footsteps and go to A&M and most likely become some kind of scientist.   He is just too precious!
Colin is now a very busy 1 year old.  He is in constant motion from the time he gets up, until he goes to bed.  His newest nickname is Mr. America, because he smiles and waves and everyone he sees.  He is such a sweet and joyful boy.
Anyhow,
J.J. and I learned so much at are week of school.  Not only did we learn how to be better photographers, we learned more about running our business.  We have come to the conclusion that there is so much more we can offer our clients.  So, we are getting organized and going to take less pictures this summer so we can do all the things done to make the OneClickAway experience the best there is!
With all that said..if you are thinking you want pictures taken this summer you need to contact us now.  I’m sticking to a strict schedule, so our clients get only our best!
